Dear Ms. Blunt,
Recently, my mother, Irena, stayed at Delmar Gardens for Rehab after her hospital stay. It was a very stressful time and we weren’t certain of the waters we we were navigating. We chose Delmar Gardens of Meramec Valley from a list the hospital staff presented to us. There really was no time to check anything out. I closed my eyes and pointed a finger and it landed on your facility. Uncertainty resulted in luck.
I wanted to express our deeep apprecation for the team of wonderful, caring people you lead. Everyong from the landscapers, clean up crew, dining and food team, nurses, nurse aids, social workers, therapists, activity leaders and anyone and everyone I didn’t mention or think of. From this wonderful group of people, we had the ddriver of the lawn mower wave his hand, we were greeted at the door with hellos and smiles, and if we looked lost we had people come up to us and ask if they could help us. I write this as if its surprising. Well it is..
During these challenging times of increasing aging population, staff shortages, work ethics changing, inflation, my mother and I were amazed that this type of ethos exists. What I was dreading turned out to be an outstanding experience. My mother didn’t want to leave. I now know if she should need the next level of care that i would turn to Delmar Gardens.
Thank you to everyone who al work so hard to create a warm, welcoming and caring environment. You have a dynamic and wonderful team. I trust you are proud of them and yourself for leading such an amazing group.
Sincerely and with deep gratitude,
Mirga R.
